The Pan de Vida Child Sponsorship Program provides ongoing financial support for the children residing at the shelter. It takes approximately $150 a month for each child to receive the most basic necessities they need to live, including:
Thanks to our sponsors, many of these needs are currently being met. But as costs increase and the number of children at the shelter grows, so does the need for more sponsors. In addition to providing these children with the money required to meet their basic needs, your donation is also helping to prepare a group of children that may someday lead their nation into a new era of prosperity and human dignity.
Sponsors are given the option to sponsor a child fully for $150 per month or to provide a partial sponsor in the amount of $25, $50, $75, $100, or $125.
Keep in mind that Pan de Vida is a shelter and not an orphanage. Each child may be re-united with parents or relatives at any given time. You will be notified if your sponsor child leaves Pan de Vida and paired with another child in need of a sponsor.

Don’t read or write Spanish?
No problem. Translators are available at the shelter to read and translate your letters to your sponsor child.
Please be sure to enclose a stamped and addressed envelope in your letter so your sponsor child can write back. (Letters from Pan de Vida will be mailed from a US mailbox, so be sure to affix a US postage stamp to return envelopes.)
